I LOVED being Ash the Pokemon Trainer!!! I told mom exactly how the costume should be because she had no clue!!! It was great that we found Pikachu at a thrift store that she could sew on my shoulder. We also found the vest at the thrift store. I helped make the Pokeball from a baseball. Cool huh!? Last of all, mom looked on the internet for a picture of the cap and she did an awesome job copying the design that goes on the cap. She just painted an ordinary white ball cap with the red where it needed to go and then glued the design she made on the front. I was proud of her for doing such a great job.
Mom also made Lane look like the REAL Frankenstein!!! She got an old suit from the thrift store and spray painted the jacket purple and the pants black. She sprayed painted the gloves and socks greenfor the hands and feet. It was cool that she also found cheap shoes at the thrift store, cut the toes out, and then she stuffed the ends of the socks with batting to make Lane's feet look bigger. Lane loved having his face painted up and having the "bolts" put in his neck. Really, mom just painted some styrofoam black and then used double-sided tape and stuck them to his neck.
We had a lot of fun trick-or-treating!!!!
